[ She'd been sent home. There'd been adventures, lots of not quite fun adventures, and apparently now she was back. Yeah, she's as confused as the rest of you. And apparently tiny. What a great welcome back? ]

I'd wonder what's changed except I can't see the ceiling. [ She can... if she squints. It's really far away now. Being 7 inches tall is not a blast, just saying ] So. I've slept through a port, been sent home and brought back at whim... I'd mention dying but I'm not planning on chancing it. [ Not with Jefferson about. Or the rest of you murderous crazies ]

At least we're not children this time. [ We including her. Seeing the aftermath was one thing. Although: (quietly) ] This is close enough.

How many people have been affected this time? [ She'll ask her other questions later ]

My deal better still be in place. [ She needed it doubly now ]

[ Jefferson ]
[ ... No. She'll catch up with you later ]

[And a few minutes later, there is a polite knock at your door.] Ms. Swan?

[ And, after wondering what to do and thinking, she perks up a little at the knock ] David? You can open it.

[He turns the knob and carefully pushes it open, not wanting to squish her or anything. Which is also why he's looking around for her first before stepping into the room, leaving the door open before him.]

[ Thankfully she made the smart decision not to stand by the door, but instead just sit on the floor in the center of the room. Now that the door's open she stands, and slowly at that ] I think now things are in a little more perspective. [ Big things are one thing but big people. Wow. He's tall ]

[David crouches down so they're more at eye level, looking at her curiously. This is definitely on the more annoying side of things, as far as floods go.] Apparently. Are you sure you're alright?

Yeah, just a little suprised. [ She'd grateful for him crouching down too, or her neck would definitely have been hurting ] It's a nice welcome back.

I can imagine. [He offers her a hand to climb up on.] Is there anywhere in particular you'd like to go?

[ The idea of climbing onto his hand, of being transported such was definitely odd, but Emma knew that it was safer than needing to dodge any feet, plus he could open doors. After a moment she began her slow, careful stepping onto his hand, before sitting back down (it would be easier, anyway) ]

How about the cafeteria?

[It was certainly strange, and he was careful to make sure she was comfortable before standing up. A fall from this height when you were smaller than some dolls would certainly not be fun.]

Certainly. Although I'm afraid the utensils might be a bit difficult to use. [Was that a joke? That might have been a joke.]

Is there any point in wondering why only some people get affected?
